This event also supports college bound students destined for greatness through education and scholarship. Each one teach one and lifting more.

•        Since 1993 SVA has been Awarding scholarships and has awarded over $100,000 to high school senior girls with a GPA of 2.5 and above.
•        Solano Valley Alumnae Scholarship is Named after Soror Xanthia Warren our oldest Soror.
•        Xanthia Warren who will be 100 years old this year and is a retired educator.  
•        She has been a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for 82 years and is a charter member of Solano Valley Alumnae Chapter
•        Xanthia Warren is the widow of one of an Original Tuskegee Airman who was a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi - Colonel James Warren.
•        Most scholarships are 3.0 but SVA recognizes young ladies with 2.5 and up recognizing some young ladies need a lil push.  
•        Many of the scholarship recipients have come back and shared with the chapter their accomplishments. We have been instrumental in changing the trajectory of lives.
 
We have scholarship recipients who are now Physicians, Lawyers, Educators, Engineers and Nurses. Many have shared that without the scholarship their chance of attending and graduating from college was a dream that might have never happened.  The scholarship they received from Solano Valley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority; Inc. helped all of the scholarship recipients make their dreams come true.
